November 15 Meeting

We had a fantastic meeting on November 15! Students began by choosing which book they wanted to create a book trailer on. We also did an icebreaker to get a better understanding of students' familiarity with book trailers. We then got started by watching and critiquing book trailers that our summer students created. Next, students began creating outlines and storyboards for their trailers. Students then began working on their trailers. We can't wait to see what they come up with!

Next, students got the chance to read silently. We then had a snack. Yum! Finally, we had a visit from members of the Vanderbilt marching band. They talked to us about what being in the band is like, and they even let us try out their instruments!
